Wine, Worship, and Sacrifice: The Golden Graves of Ancient Vani, Treasures from Georgia
Online exhibit presenting a collection of ancient artifacts from Colchis, which reveals an intermingling of Greek and Persian motifs with local styles and traditions. Looking at these objects gives us a glimpse into the ancient land of Colchis (modern-day Georgia) and its principal city of Vani. Includes images of Georgia, a slideshow of objects in the Wine, Worship, and Sacrifice exhibit, and an interactive look at the dig site where these objects were found.
