Is It Only a Shadow? The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt
As a complement to the online exhibition Presidents in Waiting, this lesson plan presents an 1898 political cartoon in which New York gubernatorial candidate Theodore Roosevelt casts a long shadow across the White House Students analyze the cartoon and then create speech bubbles for it.
