Writers' Forum

After you have completed this lesson plan, we encourage you to send us your students' writing based on the works of art and objects that they have studied. The Writers' Forum will feature their essays and stories, posted for the world to read and consider.* Just click the icon below to generate a form on which you can attach or type your students' work. For each submission, type "Writers' Forum" into the subject line. In the body of the message, remember to include the name of the story or essay; the student's name, grade, school, city, and state; his or her teacher's name; and the work of art or object that he or she is writing about.

Submit your writing!

*Note to teachers: Make sure that you have the consent of the author and his or her parent or guardian before you post any materials to this site. While the Internet offers a wonderful way to distribute information, some children and their families may not want their writing available to millions of people around the world. As an alternative, students might consider signing their work "Anonymous."
