Creating Your Own Special Museum
Getting Started

In this issue students learn about the history in their community by creating a museum of local history in their classroom. The issue provides step-by-step directions for educators in helping their students create the exhibit. A sample diagram of the possible exhibit layout is included.

The lesson plan gives students a chance to gain experience in researching, writing, organizing, and problem-solving as they establish theme, choose artifacts, and create advertising of their own museum exhibit.

Note: This is an archival publication dating back to 1983 and any supplements or suggestions for off-site education may not be available.
