In this issue educators and students to look at old houses and buildings in their community to gain insight on their community’s history and heritage. It provides educators with sketches of architectural features and explanations putting those features in historical context. The focus is on the architecture of the Victorian era.

In the activities, students use what they have learned in order to identify features on local homes or buildings. These activities also ask students to make sketches or take photographs of architecture.
