The Survival Game After Columbus: Pigs, Weeds, and Other Players
Getting Started

What happens when living creatures from two worlds that have been evolving separately for 10,000 years are suddenly thrown together? This issue of Art to Zoo colonizations of the Americas, especially the diseases brought from Europe as well as the enormous population growth of their domesticated animals. The lesson plan focuses on the fight for survival in the advent of all these problems. Also included are a bibliography of resources and a pull-out page in English and Spanish.
