ARTLAB+ Broadcast
Calling all aspiring broadcasters! ARTLAB+ has a teen-run, live Ustream channel, and is looking for on-air talent, production, video and music directors, station managers, and content writers. You'll air music, drama, talk, and news shows LIVE for the whole world to see. For ages 13–19. Lunch is provided daily.

ARTLAB+ Animation
How would you bring an artwork to life? Put your vision in motion. Use 2D animation techniques like drawing, stop-motion, pixelation, and more to craft an original short. You'll work with a professional animator, create a short film, and screen your work in the Hirshhorn's Ring Auditorium. For Ages 13–19. Lunch is provided daily.

Digital + Physical
Ever wanted to show your work in a museum? In this five-day workshop, you will bring your digital creations to life with performance in the Hirshhorn's Ring Auditorium! You'll try out everything from dance and theater to video and projection, then use your artistic vision to make a final piece. For ages 13–19. Lunch is provided daily.

ARTLAB+ Game Design
How do you turn a great idea into a great game? In this introduction to game design, you’ll play and analyze classic board, playground and video games, then make your own using physical materials and the indie development platform GameSalad! No technology or game design experience is needed. For ages 13–19. Lunch is provided daily.

Mission Possible: Teaching in the 21st Century
What does learning look like in the 21st century? How can classroom learning become real and relevant through connections to communities and digital tools? Join the Smithsonian EdLab this summer for an active exploration of these questions. Collaborate with other teachers to solve missions while using mobile technologies and digital media. Explore the resources of the Smithsonian and Washington, DC. Come with ideas and be prepared to problem-solve and get creative! By the week's end, you'll have a unique plan for incorporating museum resources, mobile technology and digital media into your own 21st century classroom. For teachers of all grade levels and subject areas. Lunch provided daily.
