These artifacts, remarkably well preserved due to the dry conditions of Coyote Cave, give an idea of the kinds of clothing used by the American Indians who did not produce cotton cloth.  Clothing made from wild plant fibers—in this case agave—was cool and durable, both desirable characteristics for the hot climate and rugged landscape of this area. Each was made using non-loom techniques.
