Telling Your Story

How did it feel to be a suffragist picketing outside the White House? Or a southern tenant farmer who moved to Chicago in search of a better life? In this activity your students can "experience" the past by writing a story from the point of view of someone who lived during another time. For factual information and inspiration, they'll study a historical exhibition about a particular era or event.
