Small Worlds: Stamps as Storytellers
Getting Started

This magazine-format issue of Art to Zoo leads off with the article “Small Worlds: Stamps as Storytellers.” The piece includes a lesson plan for using stamps to teach the subject of westward movement.

An article titled “Watch Out for Cemeteries!” is followed by a student page with detailed instructions for taking gravestone rubbings. Another article, “Lift and Drag: Hang Gliders and the Principles of Flight,” is followed by instructions for making a paper model airplane.

The issue also includes the work of students who responded to an Art to Zoo invitation: “Design your own detective camera.”

Note: This is an archival publication dating back to 1980 and any supplements or suggestions for off-site education may not be available.
