Art Crafted From Recyclables
Carrizo, reed cane, is used to make piñatas and is found along the banks of the Río Bravo/Río Grande. Flower baskets are made from old tin cans. Glue is produced from flour, vinegar, salt, and water. Newspapers and mazorca (corn husks) are also used to make crafts such as flower arrangements.
