Blanket, Tarahumara. Collected by Eugene H. Boudreau in the 1970s or early 1980s near Polanco, Chihuahua, Mexico. Department of Anthropology, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, cat. no. E429046, acc. no. 416144.

Dimensions: 75 in. (warp) x 84 in. (weft).

Technique: Warp-faced plain weave with corner tassels.

Thread count: Warp = 10/in.; Weft = 6/in.

Fibers: Warp = 1-ply handspun natural wool yarn, white and brown with some grey, Z-spin. Weft = 1-ply handspun natural wool yarn, brown, Z-spin.

Design: Evenly spaced and narrow brown and white stripes.
