Blanket, Mayo. Collected by Eugene H. Boudreau between 1961and 1987 in Sinahuisa, Sonora, Mexico. Department of Anthropology, National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution, cat. no. E429164, acc. no. 416144.

Dimensions: 73 in. (warp) (81 in. with fringe) x 52.5 in. (weft).

Technique: Plain weave with fringe.

Thread count: Warp = 6/in.; Weft = 10/in.

Fibers: Warp = 1-ply natural white wool yarn, Z-spin; Weft = 1-ply natural brown, tan, white, dark brown; dyed blue, aqua, and red wool yarn, Z-spin.

Design: Evenly spaced narrow stripes in dark brown, brown, tan, white, red, blue, and aqua.
